Wonders of the Invisible World Tour!
A psycho-sensory small-group walking journey exploring our relationship with the Unseen
Public Tours run EVERY first Saturday @ 10am-1pm + by request (April-November)
What is magic? What is the occult? And why do hundreds of thousands of modern-day humans travel every year to a place called “Witch City?”
Join local clairvoyant, DIY occult historian, and seasoned guide, Melissa Nierman, for a transformative walking journey exploring society’s changing relationship with the Invisible World - past, present, and imaginal future - as well as our own direct connections with the Unseen.
Part historical walking tour and part hands-on psycho-sensory experience, we’ll use Salem’s urban landscape as our classroom/ psychic practice space visiting a thoughtfully-curated collection of Place - from pop-culture famous landmarks to soaring 400-year old trees to radical spiritual groups’ sacred sites of worship + burial - with special focus on the Invisible World’s intersection with The Witch archetype and how collective beliefs around the “occult” have both shaped + been shaped by the dominant institutions of our times.
All tours open + close in front of modern feminist witch store, HausWitch, and journey almost 2-miles into the beautiful tree-lined streets of the McIntire District. Along the way, we’ll experience some sites traditionally through oral storytelling and others more directly via our own innate psychic senses - harnessing tools like meditation, visualization, and the Tarot. Mats will be provided for sitting on the ground at certain sites.
